Welcome to the world of wireless networks or Wi-Fi
I recommend you read the instructions that came with the router because they have specific actions to configure the wireless network needs and AA connecting peripheral devices to them.

That is, you probably want the answer in a simple point increments.

1) Get their main source of data and plug it into the right wireless router

2) Connect your laptop to Wi-Fi router can grace (if you use Windows XP) "Connection" -> "Wireless Network Connection Program"

Hopefully, you must recognize your new wireless router from your laptop and if you're lucky, you can access the network and the Internet wirelessly on your laptop!

3) If not detected, access to the router via its IP address by running in a Web browser. If it works, should be able to change the configuration of your router. (Good luck understanding all the different configurations - I suggest you search Google, if you are not)

If you are notWireless router to get an Ethernet cable and connect the laptop to the router using an Ethernet cable, then try entering the router's IP address in your browser. Then you meet / router by your settings on your laptop detects the network and connect to the Internet.

Is it complicated?
Therefore, should do their best to read the original instructions of the manufacturer and take the initiative to investigate the WLAN.
There are many resources out there on Google.

However, the new routers are usually very easy to use and should not be "Easy Mode" you can take to get online.

Good luck with your wireless network!
Remember to add the security of the network (the network key or a stronger encryption WEP, MAC address filtering to prevent only) for people from easily accessing your wireless network.

If you have time to reply and tell us how it happened!
